The new service schedule is underway, after a festive and joyous kick-off on the 9th. Drop in and experience the calming"Peace" service at 8:30 am or the rousing "Joy" service at 10:30 this Sunday.
Whichever service suits your taste and schedule, there is something for everyone in between during the "Forum", from 9:30-10:15. Multiple classes for the adults and activities for the kids. Don't miss it!
You can support our Social Ministries efforts by purchasing tickets to either of the two fun subscription parties this weekend. Enjoy a fabulous Celebration of Indian Summer on Saturday night, or a fun Soccer Party on Sunday afternoon. Or maybe do both!. Either way, the needy in our area benefit from your tax-deductible contribution. Call the church office to reserve a spot or get more info.

It's time for your feedback on the new service formats! Over 200 parish households were contacted in the Vestry "Call-A-Thon" this week, and thanks for all the helpful ideas, and you eagerness to help make Trinity even better.
If we missed you, or you have some more to offer, send a message to feedback@trinitymenlopark.org. You message will go straight to our clergy and vestry. We've even re-activated the "Virtual Suggestion Box!" We want to hear from you!

At Trinity, one of the best ways to find "Christ in community" is to participate in the community through our many ministries and commissions.
Whatever your particular calling, talent or interest, there is a way, at Trinity, for you to meet new friends and do rewarding service. Look over the list of active ministries and think about what new world God is opening to you this year.
We invite you to learn more about the Episcopal Church: history, worship, theology, church structure, sacraments, ministry, and more! Clergy led classes meet during the "Forum Hour" at 9:30 am Sunday from October 11 to Nov. 22.
You are not required to come to all of the classes, but the more you can attend, the better. Contact office@trinitymenlopark.org for more info.
Father Matthew is pleased to announce that Nancy Walsworth has accepted his invitation to serve as Senior Warden for 2010, beginning at the conclusion of the Annual Meeting on January 24, 2010. The Vestry will elect the 2010 Junior Warden at its meeting on January 26, 2010.
It's time again for Trinity Outreach's annual Turkey Drive! This year our drive will benefit St. Anthony's Redwood City, which serves up to 600 hot meals a day. Our goal is 100 turkeys for their Christmas dinner, which we will purchase and deliver. To contribute, please send a check--for as little as $10--to the church office, made out to Holy Trinity, with Turkey Drive on the memo line.
Please join us in a celebration of our mutual ministry as a parish, and the installation of Father Matthew as Rector on Sat., Jan 30th. at 2:00 pm. Bishop Mark will preside and we will welcome with joy and renewed resolution this bright new era in our parish life.
Do you know what Centering Prayer is? Practitioners often refer to it as resting in God. Want to try? Join us any Tuesday evening at 6:15pm--no prior experience necessary. If you'd like, come early at 6:05pm for a brief introduction.
Next Sunday evening brings our monthly Taizé service, the last before a summer break in July and August. Please join us June 13, at 5:00 pm in the candlelight Chapel for our Taizé service of song, prayer, and silence. Taizé is an ecumenical community in France, founded in the spirit of reconciliation and peace. In that same spirit we will express our communion with all those who are suffering, commit all our burdens to Christ, and celebrate the hope and joy he offers. All are welcome, so please feel free to bring a friend to join in this special experience.
Trinity's Every Day Eco-Network (EDEN) will be hosting an electronics and small appliance recycling event in Trinity Hall next weekend. Bring any of the items listed here on Saturday, February 6 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and Sunday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Please join us the night before Lent begins, on Tuesday, February 16 at 6:00 pm for Trinity's famous Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper. As ancient Christian households prepared for the season of Lent, they went to church to make their confession, do penance, and receive absolution. They then cleared their pantries of all the foods they were forbiddento eat during Lent, such as butter, lard, eggs, milk, cheese and meat. One way to use many of these items was to make pancakes; giving rise to the English tradition of Shrove Tuesday pancake suppers. In that tradition, we will be serving pancakes, sausages and orange juice, which will be prepared by the Men's Group. All are welcome at this celebration, which also features pancake races for kids of all ages!
Following our 10:30 am Easter service, children under 10 are invited to join us for an Easter Egg hunt on the beautiful Trinity grounds.

Trinity's children's summer program, Kingdom Kamp, begins Sunday, July 11! Jesus taught about the Kingdom of God through stories called Parables. Jesus' parables teach us about the Kingdom in our own lives, and how we can make the Kingdom happen in our world today. Children pre-K and up will explore three parables through outdoor activities, art, games, and outreach projects. Youth and grown-ups will learn about the Kingdom as they teach about the Kingdom! Kingdom Kamp, which will be held during the 10:00 am service, runs on Sundays from July 11 to August 15. Please contact The Rev. Beth Foote for more information.
