Education and Christian Formation

To nineteeth century bishop Charles Gore, "the glory of the Anglican Church" was how "Upon the ancient structure - the creeds, the canon, the heirarchy, the sacraments - she retained her hold, while she opened her arms to the new learning, the new appeal to scripture, the freedom of historical critisism and the duty of private judgement."

This church not only allows members to ask questions and investigate the answers, it encourages it, even insists on it. Christian education is a lifelong pursuit for the Episcopalian, a vital part our our spiritual lives.

Christian formation activities happen every week at Trinity Parish. Please contact us to find out how you can join in, or drop by a class. We'll be happy to see you!

Nursery Care for infants to 3 years old
Faith formation takes root early in a child's life. We provide nursery care supervised by trained caregivers in the warm and inviting Meadow Room, a new addition to our campus.

Bible Study

Develop faith and friendship - four ways to engage scripture

Regular study of scripture is vitally important to the Trinity community. With four (that's right, four!) weekly bible study groups to choose from, you're sure to find a group that fits your needs and schedule.  Groups may follow a defined course or the weekly scripture readings in church. In all cases you are especially welcome if you are just getting started with the bible. Drop in and see how easy it is to bring scripture into your life!  Get more info »

Foundations

Engage your mind while you build your faith

Our newest course offering is called "Foundations", a weekly meeting at 10am on Sunday, just after the Family Service, that is designed for those who are new to the Episcopal Church, or new to any church, or those who just want to brush-up on the basics. The structure is conversational and informal, a directed conversation with short readings. Drop in and participate in the conversation.

Trinity Book Club

Share your passion for reading

Trinity parishioners are passionate readers, and we like to share the experience and learn from one another. In addition to periodic special book study groups, we meet monthly as the Trinity Book Club. The club selects a book each month after discussing the prior months reading. The selections are as varied as the interests and tastes of our members. If reading is a part of your spiritual practice, be a part of the book club and share your passion for books!

Lenten Programs and other educational opportunities

Education and christian development opportunities are by no means limited to the formal course offerings described above. Regular programs are always led by our clergy and staff during Lent and occasionally at other times. Many other commissions and ministries will offers educational programs and guest speakers during the year. Keep an eye on the schedule or contact the church office to find out what is planned. In recent years classes have covered music, meditation, cooking and even movies!
