Trinity Parish Ministries

We are all called to Ministry

The Episcopal Church Catechism, from the Book of Common Prayer, answers the question, "Who are the ministers of the church?" in this way: "The ministers of the Church are the lay persons, bishops, priests, and deacons"

The "lay persons", the general parishioners, are listed first to make clear that we don't restrict the pursuit of ministry to our clergy. By virtue of our baptism, we are all called to ministry; our task is to determine what type of ministry that is. There are as many ways to serve as there are needs for service.

Do not be concerned that an active ministry or volunteer service is just for the "spiritually advanced". That is not our belief. An active participation in the life of the church and the community is participation in the life of the living Christ. This is the path to stronger faith and spiritual advancement.

Ministries Supporting Our Worship

Our common worship defines Anglicanism worldwide, and is the core of Trinity Parish. To participate in the worship service can greatly enrich your parish life at Trinity.

Ministries in Service to Our Community

Whether one is feeding the hungry, housing the homeless, comforting the sick and troubled, or supporting the growth of young people, service of this sort is especially satisfying and spiritually strengthening.
